STUDENT, PARENT AND TEACHER PERCEPTIONS ON THE BEHAVIORAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SCIENTIFIC CREATIVITY AND THE IMPLICATIONS TO ENHANCE STUDENTS' SCIENTIFIC CREATIVITY

Teachers’ and parents’ perceptions of scientific creativity are assumed to be an important environmental factor for creativity, so this research surveyed their the behavioral characteristics compared those students. This is achieved with a list creative physicists during growth period. For survey, 48 science teachers, 112 parents, 145 gifted students participated. Out 30 items list, they selected 10 that were considered indicators become scientists in future, ranked them according importance. The results showed three groups all perceived ‘conducting experiments, asking questions, thinking logically solve difficult problems, sharing ideas’ as creativity. less important, it was discussed why these might necessary Comparative result parents gave more importance learning-related aspects, teachers thinking-related activities such making experimenting. should encouraged improve students’ at school home.
